We offer counseling to students for their varying problems. Teachers themselves counsel most of the times as many of the children’s issues are general in nature. Group counseling is adopted when the issue is a common one. When some students display behavioural problems, these students, and if necessary their parents and teachers are individually counseled by the School Counselor. Most of the issues get resolved in this process. When our interventions do not provide adequate help, we refer children to specialized institutes. We have a system of follow-up for all the students who go through counseling programme.
The counselor also organizes education programmes for students on certain topics that are very relevant at this stage of their growth. The problems of growing up, the mistrust and distrust of the adult world and the need for recognition of the individual are addressed in these sessions.
